Esther Koch founded Encore Management to provide personal and corporate advisory services that assist Boomers with the range of issues associated with caring for an aging parent and their own aging. She personally faced the many challenges of eldercare as primary caregiver to her mother during her last ten years of life.
Esther was honored to have been selected as a delegate to the White House Conference on Aging. This conference, held once every ten years, is tasked with providing aging policy recommendations to the President and Congress. In addition, Esther is a Medicare Aging Network Partner with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and the Administration on Aging.
Esther is a frequent speaker on aging-related topics and her media interviews have appeared on television, radio, online, and in print.
Esther received her graduate degree in gerontology from the University of Southern California. As a Stanford MBA and UCLA undergraduate, Esther is also a CPA and former Chief Financial Officer and PricewaterhouseCoopers tax professional. In addition, she has provided strategic marketing services to a wide range of consumer product and service companies.
In honor of her mother who had leukemia, Esther is very committed to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She is a past member of the Silicon Valley/Monterey Bay Chapter Board and the National Board of Representatives and has actively participated in the Society's Team in Training and Light the Night programs.
Lots of friends, daily exercise, and purpose in life are her prescription for youthful, happy, healthy aging.
